Obituary for Byron Wesley Lane

Byron Wesley Lane Jr. passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021, at the age of 74 in Anaheim Hills, California.

Byron was born in Fairfield, Ohio to Byron Wesley Lane Sr. and Juanita Mozelle Winters on December 8, 1947. He married Ma. Carla Lane on November 7, 2007. Byron was a loving husband to Carla and a proud father to his two sons and a loving grandfather to his three grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his wife both internationally and throughout the United States, to places like the Philippines, Vietnam, Nevada, Texas, Hawaii, and Montana to visit family and friends. He devoted over 25 years of service to a career in the banking industry, and in his retirement, he loved to continue to be out and socialize, even at the gym where he had numerous acquaintances that became dear friends and some of which he would call family. He would say thank you to Jeff and Richard for time spent listening to him, telling stories about life and what comes next. He would also thank all his friends for all the help over the years and their kindness. Byron would often say “life is grand,” and in doing so he was always grateful for the amazing friendships he had formed. It is with great sadness that we have lost him, but know he is in a better place. He will be there watching over us, wishing us well, waiting for the day to see us again! He would also say “until we meet again my friend,” so we will say until we see you again Byron!

Byron is preceded in death by both his parents and grandparents.

Byron is survived by his wife Carla, his former wife Patricia, their sons Tim Giannetta and husband Ryan, Chris Lane and wife Caroline, and grandchildren Jordan, Olivia, and Elijah Lane.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at Green Hills Memorial Park located at 27501 S Western Ave, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.
