Beloved David Alexander Grant of Irvine, CA, sadly left us on January 24, 2023. He is survived by his wife Rey (nee Miranda) Grant, his ex-wife Elaine Frey, mother of their two beautiful children, Eleanor and Henry, in addition to his father (Edward), brother (Alex) and many dear family members. He is predeceased by his adored mother, Patricia (nee Trotta) Grant.

David was born in Evanston, Illinois and grew up in Northbrook Illinois, where he was captain of his high school soccer team and an Illinois State Scholar. He graduated with Honors from the University of Wisconsin in 2002 and summa cum laude from the Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a Law Review editor, in 2008. Upon graduation from law school, he served as law clerk to a Federal Judge, the Honorable Manuel Real. Upon completing his clerkship, he began his legal career with Payne & Fears LLP, rising to Partner.

David was a brilliant, humble, kind, and loving man. He was most happy spending time with his precious Ellie and Henry and doing what they enjoyed including gymnastics, basketball, chess, soccer, reading, coloring, Legos, video games, making slime, cooking and many other family activities.

He is now at peace in his mother Trishy’s gentle arms.
