Obituary for Jae Marie Jefferson

Jae Marie was born on January 15, 1983 at Orange County Hospital, California to her parents Julie and Joe Jefferson. Jae entered into eternal life on October 28, 2021.

Growing up, Jae loved: sports, dogs, shopping, and days at the pool with family and friends. With Josh, her big brother, and Coy, her little sister, there was rarely a dull moment in the Carter household. In 2001, Jae graduated from Katella High School where she was an avid basketball player. Soon after she attended Cypress College and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 2012. Jae was extremely proud of being a nurse and was very good at it as well. She worked at Los Alamitos Hospital as a surgical nurse for many years. Jae was the heartbeat of the OR and doctors loved her "take charge" attitude.
Jae was always an animal lover and adored her two French bulldogs Bentley & Karma. Sunday football was a family tradition. They all gathered at the Carter home and cheered for different teams. Jae was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan!
When Jae's cousin, Kala, recently moved to California she was thrilled! As neighbors they had a special relationship and shared a love for shoes, clothes, makeup, watching movies & sports, dogs and dancing.
Jae will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, laugh, sassy comments and energetic personality.

Jae is survived by her mother, Julie Carter, step-father, Archie Carter, father, Joe Jefferson, step-sister, Coylynn Salzer (Kaz), honorary sister, Layani Carey (Geno), nieces Lexi, Zoey, and Leila, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Jae is preceded in death by her step-brother Josh Carter.

Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Saddleback Chapel, 220 E Main St, Tustin, CA 92780, following with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
